Photography is the pursuit of light against varying degrees of darkness. It takes time and tests patience. The process is both exhilarating and isolating. An intense affair. In this series, I attempt to explore momentary isolation and the connections formed with personal space when there is no other relationship to take its place. Although, portraits are partly a collaborative effort, my goal is to examine the elements as a guest and perhaps re-define the idea of solitude. My subjects have kindly opened their homes so that I may witness a routine and capture the light.
